Demi Moore biography

Demi Moore

Demi Moore (born Demetria Guynes on November 11, 1962 in Roswell, New Mexico) is an American actress with a trademark husky voice. She is of mixed ancestry including French, Welsh, and Cherokee (Native American) heritage.

Although Moore was born in New Mexico, she spent much of her childhood and teenage years in the suburbs of Pittsburgh. As a child, Moore had a difficult and unstable home life. Her father Charles Harmon, an unemployed gambling addict, left her mother, Victoria, before she was born. Because of this, Moore did not share his last name on her birth certificate. Her stepfather, Danny Guynes, did not add much stability to her life, either. He frequently changed jobs and made the family move a total of 40 times. Her parents also drank, and often fought and beat each other. To make matters worse, operations on her left eye during childhood caused her to wear a patch.

When she was 16, Moore’s then-friend, Nastassja Kinski, persuaded her to drop out of Hollywood’s Fairfax High School to become an actress. After quitting school, Moore went to work as a pin-up girl, modelled in Europe, and worked at a collection agency.

In 1980 Moore’s step-father Danny committed suicide. That same year she married rock musician Freddy Moore, whose last name she adopted; the marriage lasted only 4 years.

In the early 1980s she posed for a series of soft-core photographs featuring full frontal nudity. These photos went unnoticed until after she became a star, eventually being published in a German magazine and then later in North America. They are widely available now on the internet.

Moore’s big break came playing the part of Jackie Templeton on the ABC soap opera, General Hospital, a role she played from 1982 to 1983. Her character was frequently romantically paired with actors twice her age.

Moore used her General Hospital salaries for partying and snorting cocaine. Her drug abuse lasted more than three years, until 1985, when director Joel Schumacher fired her from the set of St. Elmo’s Fire when she arrived on the set intoxicated. She soon received withdrawal treatment and returned clean after a week and stayed clean. (Incidentally, Moore’s character in St. Elmo’s Fire, Jules, was also a cocaine addict.) Moore had to sign a contract stipulating that she would stop her own alcohol and drug abuse, an agreement that caused her life to turn around. In the 1980s, she appeared in several youth oriented films, and was listed among the "Brat Pack." She was engaged to fellow Brat-Packer Emilio Estevez for three years.

In November, 1987, Moore married actor Bruce Willis, after a highly publicized whirlwind romance. They had three daughters together, Rumer Glenn, Scout LaRue, and Tallulah Belle, but divorced in 1998.

Vanity Fair (September, 1991)In August, 1991, Moore again appeared nude on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine while seven-months pregnant with her daughter Scout LaRue, with enormous attendant publicity. The image was endlessly parodied (including by Spy magazine, which placed her then-husband Bruce Willis’s head on her body), but also spawned honest imitators as other pregnant celebrities posed nude. Moore again appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair in August 1992, wearing only a body painted "suit".

For a time during the 1990s, Moore was the highest paid actress in Hollywood; she was the first actress to reach the USD$10 million mark for salary. Moore was coming off of the heels of a string of box office hits such as Ghost, A Few Good Men, and Indecent Proposal. Not all of the attention she received during this period was positive, however; for example she was spoofed with a cartoon version (called "Dewmi Moore") in the popular video game Leisure Suit Larry, and had numerous other parodies played on her name and likeness. Moore’s career suffered though when starring vehicles like The Scarlet Letter, The Juror, Striptease, and G.I. Jane (a movie in which Moore went as far as shaving her head) failed at the box office and mostly garnered poor reviews.

After a break from her acting career, Moore returned to the screen as a former member of Charlie’s Angels in the film Charlie’s Angels 2: Full Throttle. As the film was about to be released, media attention focused on how the 40 year old mother of three repeatedly had plastic surgery to remove fat on her hips, abdomen and buttocks, as well as breast enlargement.

In addition, Moore became the subject of much tabloid fodder thanks to her romantic relationship with actor Ashton Kutcher, who is 15 years Moore’s junior. Both would eventually spoof the public’s fascination with their age difference during the monologue on the March 19, 2005 episode of Saturday Night Live. Kutcher, who served as guest host, brought Moore on stage while Moore was made up to appear like a very elderly woman, who constantly babied Kutcher. Moore and Kutcher were married on Saturday, September 24, 2005 in a lavish private ceremony attended by about 100 close friends and family.

Her primary residence is currently in Hailey, Idaho, near the famous Sun Valley resort, although she spends a lot of time in the L.A. area with Kutcher.

Trivia

According to an article in the now defunct Buzz magazine, she was so demanding when it came to perks and fringe benefits, her nickname around Hollywood studio executives was "Gimme Moore."
Her birthplace of Roswell, New Mexico is near the alleged 1947 UFO crash site.
It is rumored that she will appear nude again on the cover of a major magazine in early 2006.

Sandra Bullock biography

Sandra Bullock

Sandra Annette Bullock (born July 26, 1964 in Arlington County, Virginia) is an American film actress.

Sandra majored in drama at East Carolina University. She left ECU during the spring semester of her Senior year at ECU, only three credits short of graduating, to pursue acting in New York City, but found it difficult to establish herself. She later received an honorary degree from ECU. She moved to Los Angeles, California and landed a series of small roles in several independent films and, eventually, she got the lead role in the TV version of the movie Working Girl.

Bullock’s first notable movie appearance was in Demolition Man in 1993, which led to her breakthrough performance in Speed the following year. She became a bona fide star in the mid–late 90s, carrying a string of successes on the strength of her name alone. She also runs her own production company, Fortis Films.

Biography

Bullock was born to the late German-born opera singer Helga Meyer who died of cancer on April 4, 2000, and the Alabama-born voice teacher John Bullock. She started singing as a child in Germany, where she also studied ballet and performed small parts in her mother’s operas. She lived 12 years in Fürth, Germany. Bullock attended Washington-Lee High School where she was a cheerleader and was voted "Most Likely to Brighten up Your Day" by her class.

Bullock married motorcycle builder and Monster Garage host Jesse James on July 16, 2005. In the past, she had previously dated Troy Aikman, Matthew McConaughey, and Ryan Gosling. She was engaged to actor Tate Donovan.

In October 2004, she won a multi-million-dollar judgment in a lawsuit against Benny Daneshjou, the builder of her Lake Austin, Texas mansion, a home in which she has never lived, claiming it is uninhabitable. The builder denies any wrongdoing and is appealing the verdict.

Bullock publicly donated $1 million twice to the American Red Cross, first to its Liberty Disaster Relief Fund and again over four years later, in response to the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunamis.

Penelope Cruz biography

Penelope Cruz

Penélope Cruz Sánchez, nicknamed simply Pe, is a Spanish actress. She was born April 28, 1974 in Madrid and named after a song by Joan Manuel Serrat. Her parents are Eduardo Cruz, a retailer, and Encarna Sánchez, a hairdresser. Cruz was a dancer as a child and young teen. She completed 2º B.U.P. (2nd year of secondary school), but dropped school at the age of 15 after she beat more than 300 other girls at a talent agency audition. She received nine years of classic ballet training at the Conservatorio Nacional in Madrid, four years of dance performance with several dance courses at the Cristina Rota School in New York, and three years of Spanish Ballet with Ángela Garrido. She also had Jazz Dance courses with Raúl Caballero.

She first achieved fame when she appeared in the video clip La fuerza del destino for the Spanish synth-pop group Mecano. She then started a relationship with Nacho Cano, a member of the group, which lasted for several years.

She was a TV presenter for the teen-oriented program La Quinta Marcha, in collaboration with Jesús Vázquez.

Cruz’s first major films were Jamón, Jamón and the more widely known (in the US) Belle Epoque, a film which won an Academy Award for Foreign Language Film.

She also appeared with Matt Damon in All the Pretty Horses.

In 1999, she appeared in Pedro Almodóvar’s Todo sobre mi madre which won an Academy Award for Foreign Language Film.

In early 2001, she appeared in the film Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruise, which sparked a three-year relationship with the actor.

Her younger sister Mónica Cruz closely resembles her, a similarity exploited for some Spanish TV ads. In the 2000s, Mónica left her dancing career and achieved fame on her own in the youth-oriented TV series Un Paso Adelante.

In 2005, Cruz appeared on Punk’d, MTV’s Version of Candid Camera. Cruz called Ashton Kutcher and told him that they have to get her Bandidas co-star Salma Hayek. So, with Ashton Kutcher’s help, Cruz Punk’d Hayek for the mess that they made in the restaurant restroom.

Pamela Anderson biography

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by admin on 16-03-2009

Pamela Anderson

Pamela Denise Anderson (born July 1, 1967) is a Canadian international television actress, model, producer, and sex symbol known for her beauty, curvaciously enhanced figure, and revealing fashions, her tongue-in-cheek acting, and reports of her personal life in tabloid newspapers.

Early life

Anderson was born in 1967 in Ladysmith, British Columbia, Canada of partially Finnish ancestry (her paternal grandfather, Juho Hyytiäinen, left Finland in 1908). As the first baby born on Canada’s Centennial Day (unexpectedly well past midnight, at 4:08 in the morning), the newborn Anderson won fame as the nation’s "Centennial Baby".

She was subsequently "discovered" in 1989 when, attending a B.C. Lions football game wearing a Labatt’s beer t-shirt, her image was shown on the stadium’s giant screen. She was hired by Labatt’s to promote their product, and soon after, she appeared in Playboy magazine. She later had breast augmentation and collagen to enhance her appearance. Her natural hair color is brown and she bleaches her own hair at home according to her personal stylist.

Acting Career

Anderson’s first major television role was on the United States hit television sitcom Home Improvement (1991-1993).

But her rise to stardom came primarily from her role as C J Parker (1992-1997) on Baywatch. In 1996, she appeared in a feature film, Barb Wire, which failed to achieve commercial success; and in 1998 she appeared in her own television series, V.I.P., which ran for four seasons. As of April 13, 2005, Anderson starred on a new FOX TV series, Stacked as Skylar Dayton.

Personal life

In addition to her fame from modelling and acting, Anderson has gotten a great deal of press attention for her flamboyant personal life. She married rock star Tommy Lee of the band Mötley Crüe after knowing him for only 96 hours, and subsequently bore him two sons, Brandon and Dylan. After reported incidents of spousal abuse and alcoholism on the part of Lee, Anderson filed for divorce twice and reconciled twice, before the couple finally broke up for good. During the period of her marriage, she was known professionally as Pamela Anderson Lee. Since her divorce, she has become engaged to model Marcus Schenkenberg, broken up with him, and became engaged to rock musician Kid Rock.

Anderson has also had relationships with Scott Baio, "Baywatch" co-star David Charvet, and musician Bret Michaels of the band Poison. She has also allegedly has had affairs with celebrities including Sylvester Stallone, Dean Cain, surfer Kelly Slater, Ben Affleck, Fred Durst, and reality TV star Eric Nies.

A pornographic home video of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee was stolen from their home, and made a huge stir on the Internet. Anderson sued the company, the Internet Entertainment Group, that was distributing the video. Ultimately the courts awarded Anderson and Lee $1.5 million plus attorney fees for their share of the profits.[1] The popularity and profitability of the video sparked a miniature genre within the porn film industry, and since then many homemade porn videos of celebrities have been released to the public through home video and Internet channels (either with or without the participants’ co-operation). Frames of the video first appeared in Penthouse Magazine in March of 1998.

In March 2001, Christine Evelyn Roth pled guilty to a misdemeanor charge of trespassing and was deported to her home country, France. The woman had been arrested while sleeping in a guest room of Anderson’s home, but she was only charged with trespassing and not the more serious crime of stalking.

In March 2002, Anderson publicly stated that she had contracted the Hepatitis C virus from Lee (supposedly from sharing tattoo needles), and began writing a regular column for Jane magazine. Lee denies having the disease. Anderson became the celebrity spokesperson for the American Liver Foundation, and served as the Grand Marshall of the SOS motorcycle ride fundraiser. In October 2003, Anderson jokingly said on Howard Stern’s radio show that she does not expect to live more than ten or fifteen years [2], but this was misconstrued and taken seriously by many Internet sites and tabloids.

Anderson became a naturalized citizen of the United States on May 12, 2004, while retaining her Canadian citizenship, for the purpose of sponsoring her parents (or at least her mother) for a green card. She has lived in southern California since 1989.

She is currently a columnist for the Canadian Elle magazine, stars in the sitcom Stacked and voices the cartoon vixen Agent 69 Stripperella in the series of the same name. She has also voiced herself in the series.

Anderson has often spoken revealingly about her private life. On a visit to the David Letterman show in 2004, she said she had not been dating for some time, and when Letterman asked her how she was coping, she responded, "There’s not a square corner left anywhere in my house!" Letterman left that comment unanswered while the audience hooted.

Novelist

In 2004, Pamela Anderson released the book Star, in which she describes a young teenager doing different things in order to reach fame. After this, she began touring across the States, signing autographs to fans at Wal-Mart stores nationwide.

A sequel, Star Struck, released in 2005, is a thinly veiled look at her life with Tommy Lee and the travails of celebrity life.

Animal rights

In 1999, Anderson received the Linda McCartney Award for animal rights protectors.

In 2001, Anderson released a letter in support of PETA’s vandalism of Kentucky Fried Chicken; stating, "What KFC does to 750 million chickens, each year, is not civilized or acceptable."

In 2003, Anderson stripped down for PETA’s "I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur" advertising campaign.

Many people have questioned her actual knowledge of Animal Rights Issues. In a 2005 interview with Larry King the subject came up, with King asking her what her position on testing medications and treatments on animals if it could ultimately help save the lives of people. In response she admited she didn’t know they tested drugs on animals and stated "I don’t know anything about that." Advocating the end to Animal drug testing is one of the prime premises of most Animal Rights groups.

Hilary Duff biography

Hilary Duff

Hilary Erhard Duff (born September 28, 1987) is an American actress and pop music singer. After gaining prominence in the television show Lizzie McGuire, she has since gone onto a film career, with roles in mainstream pictures such as Cheaper by the Dozen and independent films such as Material Girls and The Perfect Man. Duff has also launched a successful music career that has yielded two number one albums in the U.S.

Biography

Early life and career

Duff was born in Houston, Texas as the second child of Robert Erhard Duff, owner of a chain of convenience stores, and his wife Susan Colleen Cobb, a homemaker. Duff’s unusual middle name of "Erhard" was the maiden name of her part German American paternal grandmother, Mary Erhard; Duff also has German ancestry on the part of her maternal grandmother, Amy Beulah Schlemmer. After Hilary’s mother encouraged her to take an acting class alongside her older sister, Haylie Duff, both girls won parts in various local theatre productions. At the age of six, the Duffs participated in the ballet The Nutcracker Suite with Columbus Ballet Met in San Antonio. The siblings became more and more enthusiastic about the idea of acting professionally, and they eventually relocated to California with their mother. Bob Duff stayed at the family home in Houston to maintain their business. Through years of auditions and meetings, both sisters managed to clinch appearances in several television commercials.

Television and film

Most of Duff’s first few acting roles were small, starting off with an uncredited appearance in Hallmark Entertainment’s western miniseries True Women (1997), an adaptation of the novel by Janice Woods Windle. She also served as an extra, again uncredited, in writer and director Willard Carroll’s comedy drama Playing by Heart (1998), whose ensemble cast included Dennis Quaid, Sean Connery and Angelina Jolie, star of True Women from the previous year.

Her first major part was as the star of the 1998 film Casper Meets Wendy, playing the young witch Wendy who encounters the animated character Casper. Like Casper: A Spirited Beginning (1997), the first sequel to the hugely successful Casper (1995), the film went direct-to-video with generally unenthusiastic reviews.

Duff later appeared in a supporting role in the television movie The Soul Collector in 1999, which was based on a Kathleen Kane novel, and starred Bruce Greenwood as an angel who helps out a female farmer (Melissa Gilbert) whose husband has recently died. Duff ended up winning a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Movie or Pilot (Supporting Young Actress).

Duff’s first serious shot at fame came when she was cast as one of the children in the pilot episode of the NBC sitcom Daddio (2000). Said Michael Chiklis, star of Daddio, "After working with her the first day, I remember saying to my wife, ‘This young girl is going to be a movie star.’ She was completely at ease with herself and comfortable in her own skin." However, before the show had even aired, Duff was dropped from its cast lineup, an unfortunate turn of events which made the twelve-year-old reluctant to continue her acting career. But her manager and mother, Susan Duff, spurred her on, and she successfully auditioned for the family comedy show Lizzie McGuire just a week later.

Lizzie McGuire

Lizzie McGuire, which first aired on the Disney Channel in January 2001, was a ratings hit, drawing in 2.3 million viewers per episode, and became the career breakthrough Duff had been waiting for. Her performance in this role as a typical teenager led to appearances on the covers of many teen magazines, and she became highly popular among children between the ages of seven and fourteen, with Richard Huff of the New York Daily News calling her "a 2002 version of Annette Funicello". After fulfilling her entire sixty-five episode contract, as well as participating in a film spin-off entitled The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003), Disney toyed with the idea of continuing the franchise in further movies and a prime-time television series to be broadcast on ABC, but Duff refused the proposal. There was a dispute over the amount of pay Duff would receive; reportedly, she had been receiving US$15,000 per episode, but she and her representatives, including her mother, wanted that figure to be raised to $100,000. Disney offered to raise it up to $35,000 but Duff would not relent and all plans of continuing the series were abandoned.

Duff’s second role in a theatrical motion picture was in Human Nature, an independent film released in most countries in 2002 following a good reception at the Cannes and Sundance film festivals. Written by Charlie Kaufman and directed by Michel Gondry, the film follows a female naturalist, played by Patricia Arquette, who has body hair growing all over her body. Tim Robbins and Rhys Ifans co-starred. Duff played the younger version of Arquette’s character.

She starred in the Disney Channel television movie Cadet Kelly (2002) with Christy Carlson Romano and Gary Cole, which became the network’s most watched program in its nineteen-year history. Her first major role in a feature film was in Agent Cody Banks with Frankie Muniz in 2003. It was successful enough to spawn a sequel, proving that Duff’s popularity was not limited to the small screen. Duff then reprised the role of Lizzie McGuire in The Lizzie McGuire Movie, which was her first million-dollar movie role. She played the part of Lorraine Baker in the Twentieth Century Fox film Cheaper by the Dozen with Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt.

Duff in A Cinderella Story (2004).In 2004, she appeared in the romantic comedy A Cinderella Story, a twenty-first century update of Charles Perrault’s fairy tale Cinderella. Comedienne Jennifer Coolidge played the wicked stepmother of the picture, which was directed by Mark Rosman, a veteran of Duff’s Lizzie McGuire. The film became a modest sleeper hit, and many critics were impressed by Duff’s performance, as well as her chemistry with co-star Chad Michael Murray, another actor popular with teens, who plays Duff’s love interest in the film.

Later that year, she starred in the romance film Raise Your Voice, which marked the third collaboration between Duff and director Sean McNamara (after Casper Meets Wendy and episodes of Lizzie McGuire). While some critics praised Duff for appearing in a more dramatic role than she had previously been seen in, the film was heavily panned, with many slating in particular the striking similarities to the musical film Fame (1980). Reviews were, by and large, negative to Duff’s vocals (several critics have pointed out what appears to be her digitally enhanced voice and indifferent towards her acting performance, although she did receive a Razzie award nomination for "Worst Actress" (in addition to her work in A Cinderella Story). The film also received a muted reception at the box office, where it became Duff’s least commercially successful film to date.

In Duff’s latest film, The Perfect Man, she plays the eldest daughter of a divorced woman, played by Heather Locklear, who moves to New York City as she desperately searches for a good man to settle down with. The movie saw Duff once again united with director Mark Rosman. Reviews were mostly negative.

Hilary Duff at the premiere of The Perfect ManDuff has recently filmed the satirical comedy Material Girls. The Martha Coolidge-directed film, co-produced by Madonna’s independent film production company Maverick Entertainment, stars Hilary and her real-life sister Haylie Duff as wealthy siblings who must fight to reclaim their fortune following a scandal. The Duff sisters are also due to lend their vocal talents to the computer animated comedy Foodfight!, to be distributed by Lions Gate Films in the fall of 2006. The film’s director, Larry Kasanoff, said that he is "absolutely thrilled to have Hilary and Haylie Duff as part of the cast." In late October 2005, reports emerged that Duff is likely to star in the third sequel to the supernatural horror film Poltergeist (1982), in a role originated by the late Heather O’Rourke.

Duff recently announced on MTV that she has put her film Outward Blonde on hold for "a little while".

In a recent interview with the Puerto Rican press. Duff has confirmed an April release date for "Material Girls"

Music career

After seeing her sister perform in a band, Duff decided that she wanted to be the next "Pop princess". Her first recorded singing performance was on the song "I Can’t Wait", which appeared on the original television soundtrack for Lizzie McGuire in August 2002. The following month, the first Disneymania compilation album was released, featuring Duff in the song "The Tiki, Tiki, Tiki Room". Her first album was the collection of Christmas songs entitled Santa Claus Lane (2002), which included duets with Lil’ Romeo and Christina Milian. Released in October, it made the lower reaches of the Billboard 200 album chart and number three on the kids’ music chart, and eventually achieved gold certification. The title track was also included on the soundtrack to The Santa Clause 2.

Duff also sang on several tracks on the soundtrack to The Lizzie McGuire Movie. One of these tracks, "Why Not", which is performed by Duff in the film, was released as a single, and reached the top twenty on singles charts in countries including Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands. That year, she recorded her first non-holiday album, entitled Metamorphosis (2003), went to number one on the U.S. and Canadian charts in that year. Songwriting team The Matrix, who had worked with singers such as Avril Lavigne and Liz Phair, provided three songs on the album. One of these songs, "So Yesterday", was released as the first single, reaching number one in Canada, the top forty in Australia and just outside the top forty of the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S. "Little Voice" was released as a single overseas in 2004, while "The Math (Live)" was also released overseas and on the internet.

Metamorphosis became the eighth-highest selling album of the year, with over 2.4 million copies purchased in its first four months of release in the US alone; it has since gone to sell over 3.7 million copies. Metamorphosis was also nominated in Canada’s Juno Awards for International Album of the Year in 2004. In January 2004, the second Disneymania disc was released, and contained Duff’s last recording for Disney, "The Siamese Cat Song", recorded with her sister Haylie. Another song, "Circle of Life", included Duff and other Disney Channel Stars. Duff and her sister also recorded a cover of The Go-Gos’ "Our Lips Are Sealed" for the soundtrack to A Cinderella Story.

On September 28, 2004 (her seventeenth birthday), she released her second album, the self-titled Hilary Duff; it debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 and number one in Canada. When describing the album to her fans, Duff noted that she felt it has an edgier, rock feel to it. The album’s first single was "Fly", and it also includes "Haters", the lyrics of which were once rumoured to be about Lindsay Lohan, who is often considered by the media to be Duff’s rival.[16] The album has sold over 1.5 million copies in the U.S. to date, but "Fly" performed below expectations on the charts.

Duff’s third official album, Most Wanted (2005), consisted of her personal favorite songs alongside three new tracks. Duff enlisted help from boyfriend Joel Madden to make her three new tracks edgier and more rock, and listened to music by artists such as The Killers and Muse for inspiration. Lead single "Wake Up" became her highest debut on the Billboard Hot 100 and her highest peaking single in the U.S. The album itself debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling near 220,000 copies in its first week of release. Most Wanted also became her third number one debut in Canada.

Duff has recorded Madonna’s signature song "Material Girl" for her film Material Girls, and the music video is due in January. Duff has also mentioned in an interview that "Material Girl" will be included on her next album, which she is planning to start recording in early 2006.

Personal life and trivia

Duff has dated singer Aaron Carter, brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter. There were reports that she had tried to have fellow teen actress Lindsay Lohan banned from the preview of Cheaper by the Dozen because Lohan had allegedly been dating Carter at the same time as Duff in late 2003, as well as other reports about a fistfight that supposedly took place between the two actresses. Duff had a disagreement with pop punk singer Avril Lavigne over criticisms of Duff copying Lavigne’s style.

Stuff By Duff backpackDuff is involved with many charities, is an animal rights enthusiast, and a member of "Kids With a Cause". On September 5, 2005, it was reported that Duff donated US$250,000 to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Her hair is naturally light brown, but she’s been dying it blonde since she was eleven years old. She also has six dogs: Lola, Macy, and Chiquita are her dogs and the rest are her sister’s. Duff launched a clothing line, "Stuff By Duff" on March 12, 2004 with clothes distributed through Target in the United States and Australia and Zellers in Canada. Playmates Toys also released a doll of Hilary that year. [17]

Her sister, Haylie Duff, has been trying to become a professional singer, as well. Hilary has helped her with duet songs including "Our Lips Are Sealed" which have been successful in the United States and in other countries, including Mexico and Colombia. Her mother, Susan Duff, is a producer, and manages Hilary’s career. Susan also co-produced A Cinderella Story and her father, Bob Duff is a Bussiness owner.

Duff is currently dating Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden. She finally cleared up all the rumors in June 2005 by admitting they were dating, and had been seeing each other since she was only sixteen. Their first public appearance was at the MTV Video Music Awards in August 2005.

In late 2005, Duff took a month off from work as a belated eighteenth birthday present. She said that after releasing Most Wanted and writing three new songs for it, shooting three films, and embarking on her U.S. "Still Most Wanted Tour", she wanted to take a short break. Her forthcoming film Outward Blonde was then put on hold for "a little while", but Duff planned to commence promotion for the films Cheaper by the Dozen 2 and Material Girls after her month off, as well as continuing her "Still Most Wanted Tour" in Canada and other countries.

Roselyn enrolled in the University of Puerto Rico, where like her father and brothers she was to study marketing. However, this was not her calling and after three years she left the course.

In 1991, at the age of 21, Roselyn moved to New York City, where she took classes in dancing, acting and singing. Roselyn returned to New York and landed her first English speaking role in the CBS soap opera, "As The World Turns". She became the first hispanic to play a Latina character, when she played the role of "Pilar Domingo" from 1996 until 1997.

In 2001, Roselyn was cast as "Isabella Molina", a secret customs agent who was Jackie Chan’s love interest in the movie Rush Hour 2. In 2003, she played the role of "Lorena" in the movie Chasing Papi starring alongside Jaci Velasquez and Sofia Vergara.

In 2005, her first musical recording "Borinqueña" will be out in the market. She is preparing for her role in The Perfect Sleep, a neo-noir drama, where she is co-staring with Patrick Bauchau, Tony Amendola, Isaac Singleton and Peter Lucas. She has also joined the cast of Without a Trace.
